Overview

The Department of Local Government, Water and Volunteers is developing regional water assessments that identify ways to support economic growth in strategically important regions of the state through investment in water.

The Burdekin Regional Water Assessment is funded by the Australian Government.

This work builds on previous water studies in the region and involves local stakeholders in identifying all potential sources of water to meet future water needs.

The Department of Local Government, Water and Volunteers is seeking wider public consultation on the draft assessment findings and recommendations.

This is your opportunity to let us know what you think looks right or what might need adjusting, in the draft Burdekin Regional Water Assessment Summary Report.
